In ufology there has always been a problem with scientists who are "sticks in the mud" when it comes to new anomalous events in the world. I have maintained that skepticism (the ability to come up with a counter-explanation without any required evidence), comes from the left brain interpreter, Its job it is to make up stories to keep the world consistent. Here is an very important interview with Dr. Michael Gazzaniga, whose split brain research discovered the left brain story teller.

Everything is an activity inside consciousness. Deepak Chopra The bottom line after 46 years of studying the paranormal initiated by my 1975 sighting can be summed up as follows.
It is a giant kabuki theater, and the only message for me is, “Grant - remember who you really are.” All the world’s a stage. All the men, women, spirits, and aliens are but actors. They have their entrances and exits, and each man and women play many roles. We are, however, NOT the actor on the stage. We are one with the one who is all who is watching the play. There is a play, everything is one, and there is nothing else. Often Grant starts falling back into the illusion believing his ego is the actor. In his illusion his ego is in charge but a victim in the play, oppressed by the Chinese, Hillary’s Clinton’s emails, and the dog that ate the homework. The intelligence, higher self, or whoever is running the kabuki theater, says “Grant is falling back into the illusion. Time to wake him up again. Let’s do something weird. Something so weird he will become obsessed and passionate to realize there is more.” The theater manager pulls out the laser pointer and the cat (Grant) races around the room after the dot of light, the synchronicity, the dream, or the presence in the room. Grant awakens and starts to question, “Oh my God. What just happened?” The manager laughs. A voice whispers “Grant, remember who you actually are. There is more. You are not the actor on the stage.” After years of chasing the weird and wonderful, right or wrong, it appears to me that there is consciousness and nothing else. Consciousness is primary and the ground of being. The one is the all. The all are the one. It is all here. It is all now. There is no separation. As Nobel Laureate John Wheeler said, “there is no out there out there…it’s a participatory universe.” There are no levels, no nouns, and no things. These are parts that help make up the illusion. As the Beatles song I am the Walrus put it, “I am he, as you are he, as you are me, And we are all together.” We are all in the ocean of consciousness. The lower in the ocean we are, the darker it is, and the less we see. The higher in the ocean of vibration, the more light there is and the more we can see. There is only one thing – consciousness. Consciousness moves creating vibration, and vibration creates the illusion. The frequency of the vibration determines the illusion experienced. The vibration creates the illusionary stage where the play takes place. All the sparks of the divine agree to go through the river of forgetfulness and forget who they are. Then they dress up as tinkers, tailors, soldiers, sailors, rich men, poor men, beggar men, and thieves, and the play begins. There is no us and them. It is just one thing, not a drop in the ocean; but the entire ocean in a drop. The ONE is alive without any nouns within. Each is a spark of the ONE. The paranormal is the kabuki theater manager with the laser pointer and ball of catnip. He knows how to gain back attention. Unless the illusion is shattered with weirdness, the illusion will continue to be normal, logical, and unchallenged. Whenever anything paranormal happens the question must be asked, “what is it really? What really happened? What am I missing?” Michael Newton, who developed the regression technique that introduced the idea of life between lives, once had the devil appear in a session. Believing that there was no devil he wondered “who is this really?” He asked the man to describe and the terrified man described a face with leathery skin and fiery eyes. “What is he wearing?” Newton asked. “He doesn’t have a body, the man replied. “Just wispy smoke.” Newton demanded the man to move into the future and tell him who it really was. It turned out it was the man’s soul guide with a mask. The man had been a fire and brimstone preacher in the past life warning people they would go to hell if they did not listen to him. Now it was lesson time from the guide – a time for the man to see how it felt to be under the threat of hell. Like the soul guide with the mask, the kabuki manager gets attention with UFO sightings and other weird things that makes us question everyday reality. The new paranormal players on the stage with us thrill us, and our egos are captivated by the often-glamorous costumes and colors of what we are being shown. The ego, believes it is the actor, and therefore thinks the events on stage are real. It chases the laser pointer light around the room thinking that the aliens have arrived, and they are here to eat us, or to provide me new way to get rich. In the moment of excitement, the ego forgets that UFOs have lights on them so we can see them. Like forgetting that devils should have bodies, the ego forgets that our planes do not have lights. It is rapped up in being the actor and chasing the laser pointer around. The manager points the laser, and the ego sees new stage players jump around in the sky. The laser pointer light moves quickly as if to say, “is this paranormal or what?” It is weird, but usually just entertains the ego, as opposed to raising the question “take a closer look. What is this really?” Then the intelligence drops small pieces of what appears to be flying saucer metal. It is like throwing the catnip ball into the room with the cat. The ego does not see or question the weirdness of the event. Thinking that the metal is real and on the stage, it assumes that after a long trip across the galaxy that pieces have started to fall off. It seems to make sense like a devil without a body, or lights doing meaningless zig-zags in the sky. The truth is this is part of an attempt by the manager to break the ego’s illusionary world and make the ego wonder what is really going on. The manager laughs and whispers “remember who you really are. You are not the actor on the stage.” There is one thing – consciousness. There is one message – remember who you really are. The rest is just illusion in which we play and learn our lessons.
